JACL Honolulu Helps Re-launch Hawaiʻi Coalition for Civil Rights
Hawaiʻi Coalition for Civil Rights Resolution (2025)
The Hawaiʻi Coalition for Civil Rights (HCCR) formed in 2017 as a direct response to unprecedented challenges to civil liberties and immigrant rights. In 2025, HCCR was re-launched in order to coordinate actions among partner organizations. With renewed purpose, currently HCCR works to:
1) Defend constitutional protections and uphold the rule of law
2) Protect immigrant rights and promote humane immigration policies
3) Combat discrimination and pursue social justice for all people
